NSW Recce Rifle Ashen Lilly Bundle
We approached Ashen Lilly (Mitch) about doing a project together. Mitch is an eclectic independent artist, known for his military themed digital art, and LOTUS EATERĀ a graphic novel he co-authors with Delta Manga (Mag).
Left to his own devices, Mitch's signature style combines bright cyberpunk colors with organic forms and sinister themes. The spider lillies represent a passage from life to death, and the Kanji "MORTAL" (č“ę») Pays tribute to the swift & deadly accuracy from the MK.12 NSW "Recce" Rifle fielded by Delta Force & Navy Seals in the 2000s.
The MK.12 was a "Special Purpose" Rifle born out of the growing needs for a more adaptable platform for urban fighting after the battle of Mogadishu. Chambered in Black Hills Ammo's Mk. 262, a heavy but accurate 5.56 NATO round, it became renowned for it's adaptability as a Designated Marksman Rifle & used extensively by some of the highest-tier special forces in the world.Ā
It's also become a prime target for cloners, with the NSW Recce featuring a Knights Armament rail, shorter barrel, and collapsible stock that take the Mk.12 fromĀ greatĀ toĀ phenomenalĀ as a long-range platform...
It's one of our favorite AR configurations ever, so it at least deserved a Badass Design on a hoodie, t-shirt, and a patch & sticker to commemorate it.
