East German Strichtarn Field Shirt

While still heavily influenced by their big brother in the east, the East Germans simply couldn’t help themselves but be German and say “what if we could make our uniforms more complicated for the lulz?” So they adopted Strichtarn, contrasting to the dull & gray uniforms from over the wall. The now-iconic “rain” pattern was originally developed in Warsaw-Pact Poland, and became a highly proliferated camo in Czechoslovakia & Bulgaria as well.

While somewhat ineffective as a camouflage outside the Great Plains, or Angola, Strichtarn can work extremely well as a fashionable urban surplus enjoyer’s camouflage. Or if you are trying to equip a rebel force on the African Subcontinent.  With its numerous pockets and simple yet rugged construction it’s perfect for impersonating everyone's favorite flavor of Germany, Holy Roman Empire aside, while still looking like you have an idea of what fashion looks like.
